A Newham teacher accused of causing actual bodily harm to a child is due to stand trial in July.
Vincent Orugboh, 49, from Enfield, was suspended from his post teaching Maths and Science at Brampton Manor Academy in East Ham.
Orugboh appeared at Wood Green Crown Court on April 20 charged with ABH.
A trial is due to take place in the same court in the week beginning July 23.
Brampton Manor Academy declined to comment.
