The youngsters, part of the Imps Motorcycle Display Team, are aged between five and 16 and are a frequent fixture at the annual Scottish show.

One of the youngest riders, five-year-old Jesse N’Jie, met a group of Chelsea Pensioners, including 90-year-old Helen Andrews, during their stay.

Jesse, from Romford, said: ”It was so cool meeting Helen. She’s from the same place as me and it was fun to perform with all the Chelsea Pensioners in the show.

“We talked lots about how much we loved our uniforms and the Tattoo!”

The Imps will be performing at the Tattoo until Sunday.
