A biker from East Ham was killed in a road accident in Oxfordshire on Sunday evening.
Paul Hillier, 56, of Greenwich Crescent was travelling east along the A418 when his green Triumph Thruxton 900 motorcycle was involved in a collison with a silver Mercedes CLK at approximately 9.50pm.
Mr Hillier was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Thames Valley Police say the Mercedes driver was not seriously hurt but anyone with further information about the incident should contact PC Matthew Hunt of the Abingdon Roads Policing Base by calling 101.
An inquest into the death has been formally opened at the Oxfordshire Coroner’s Office.
