An East Ham mortgage advisor has been handed an award by comedian and Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams.

Ahmed Chughtai, who works at the haart branch on High Street North, beat off competition from colleagues up and down the country to be named Best Financial Services Newcomer in the UK.

He received the award from Mr Walliams, famous for his character in the TV show Little Britain, in front of over 600 colleagues at a black tie event at the Park Plaza Hotel in Westminster.

Mr Chughtai said: “It’s great to be recognised by the company for the work that we do in East Ham and I look forward to sharing it with all of my colleagues in the branch.”

The ceremony was hosted by his branch’s parent company Spicerhaart.
