East Ham schoolgirl Jai Daniel needs your votes to be in with a chance of being crowned Teen Queen UK.

Representing Newham, 16-year-old Royal Docks Community School pupil Jai got through the photoshoot round to be featured on the modelling competition’s website.

A friend of the family attended one of the events in last month’s London Fashion Show where she saw a leaflet for the Teen Queen UK competition.

She immediately thought was of Jai so told her mother, Karline Wholas, to get her daughter involved.

Karline set about entering Jai and she believes her daughter should win because she stands out from the crowd.

She said: “Jai’s so quirky and she gets on with everyone. And she is so good looking as well.”

Jai, a member of Custom House superstars Ascension Eagles Cheerleaders, has already done some catwalk modelling for her friend from the group who runs her own fashion label.

She will also be appearing in a fashion show at Westfield Stratford City on April 21.

Karline added: “She is interested in modelling and it’s all about trying to get her name out there to get her noticed.

“She’s representing Newham and, if she gets through the heats, she will get to compete against girls across the country in front of a panel of judges in London.”

Vote for contestant #29 Jai by visiting www.missteenqueenuk.com and clicking on 2012 Teen Queen Heats or by texting TQ29 to 81319 by April 15.
