A COMPANY boss who made more than £1.3 million by trafficking heroin and cannabis is set to lose his criminal fortune.

Father-of-three Naeem Qureshi, 45, appeared to be a respectable businessman running a mobile phone shop in Gants Hill - but he was secretly visiting Pakistan and the USA as part of his drugs business.

Qureshi bought three homes - including one in Skeffington Road, East Ham - and splashed out on two Mercedes cars and a BMW.

But in January last year he was jailed for six years after being convicted of a string of drugs offences.

Judge Martyn Zeidman agreed that the fortune he made importing the illegal drugs should be confiscated.

Snaresbrook Crown Court heard how Qureshi made £1,309,458 through his activities.

Chartered surveyors are set to value Qureshi's East Ham property, plus two in Ilford.

The exact confiscation sum is set to be decided on November 13.
