The drawings by James Valentine who has lived in the area for 25 years are currently decorating the walls inside Coffee7 in Sebert Road, off Woodgrange Road.
Mr Valentine said: “My exhibition does not pretend to mirrow all that exists in this area of Forest Gate. But is an attempt to capture moments like walks to the station, locals enjoying the festival atmosphere, and citizens working to make this a vibrant area and keeping our streets clean.”
The images are up for sale and priced from £45 to £135.
