A passenger has shared the dramatic moment strong winds from Storm Eleanor forced a pilot to abort a landing at London City Airport.

Graham Kirk took the footage on a British Airways flight from Edinburgh, showing the plane rocking from side to side as it descended towards the runway.

“Someone buy that pilot a beer,” he tweeted.

Some flights to and from from London City Airport have been delayed or diverted as a result of the strong winds.

The airport has advised passengers to contact their airline for the latest information on whether a particular flight will be operating.
