BIRD’S eye views of iconic London landmarks like Big Ben and the Eye during the decent, as voted by pilots, have put the Royal Docks-based airport into the world’s top ten stunning aerial approaches.

The steep flight path has been described as a “fairground ride-like buzz” in a poll that placed London City Airport in seventh place.

LCY beat the only other British rival- Barra in the Outer Hebrides - but the title as the world’s best went to Sion Airport in Switzerland with its stunning approach along the Rhone Valley and over the Alps.
