Students, staff and parents at Grange Primary danced until well after home time as they celebrated the Queen’s 60 years on the throne.
They were entertained by a magician, a Bob the Builder character and a Pearly King and Queen. Children enjoyed playing on a bouncy castle and party foods which included items usually frowned on.
The highlight for the hundreds of people who spent the afternoon at the Plaistow school was the release of 500 balloons.
Linda Loads, learning mentor at the school, said there was a lovely atmosphere at the party and she was glad that so many people attended to make it such a success.
