Ideas for a temporary project on the site of a former sweet factory are being sought by developmers.

Clarnico Quay, where the former Clarnico sweet factory once stood, is a 6,110 sq m site next to the Copper Box Arena in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

It is part of the long-term development plans of the new East Wick and Sweetwater neighbourhoods, but planners are looking to use it as a temporary site for the next five years.

Make Shift, who are managing the project, aim to meet demand for workspace, education, cultural and community uses.

A community consultation is set to take place on Thursday, March 23, which aims to find out what people living and working in the area want and need from the site.

Anyone interested in sharing their views can visit the Old Baths, Eastway, Hackney Wick, between 5.30pm and 8.30pm.

Alternatively, you can submit comments and suggestions for the site online at clarnicoquay.org.
