These are the kittens found wet and freezing in an Upton Park garden just hours after being born in February.
Now, three months later, they are thriving and ready to move into a loving home.
Named Rye and Rocket by staff at the Celia Hammond Animal Trust, who rescued them from the Queen’s Road house, they have battled against the odds to become happy, healthy kittens.
As the Recorder reported at the time, Rye and Rocket were among a litter of five born to a stray cat during the harsh winter.
Despite the best efforts of staff at the charity’s Barking Road centre, three of the babies were too weak to pull through.
Now they are looking to rehome Rye, Rocket and their mother Rosie together.
They have been spending the past few weeks at a foster home, where they have thrived.
Rosie is said to dote on her two kittens and staff at the trust feel they would be best suited to living in a home with a garden.
