Hundreds of Dyer-hard fans lined the streets in the cold to get their favourite EastEnders geezer to sign copies of his new book on Sunday.
Devotees of the Custom House hard man were in for a treat when the West Ham FC supporter greeted fans with a kiss and posed with them for an East End selfie at Barking Road’s Newham Bookshop.
“It was amazing, it was absolutely fantastic,” said Vivian Archer. who organised the event.
“There were about 200 people who came from as far as Halifax, Sheffield and all over the country.”
To combat the cold, Vivian helped fans to tea and mince pies, whetting their appetite to meet their hero before Dyer headed round the corner to watch Hammers face West Brom.
