Top athletes from the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust will be running a fitness masterclass at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Tuesday, May 5.
Launched in 2008 by the double Olympic champion, the trust is a national charity supporting disadvantaged young people through mentoring programmes led by world-class athletes.
The boot camp style masterclass will be led by boxer Hannah Beharry and triple jumpers Yamile Aldama and Julien Allwood – all working as mentors to young people through the trust.
The session has been specifically designed by the international athletes to provide a fun, engaging and challenging setting to get them race-ready for Nuclear Rush – a tough endurance-style obstacle race.
All proceeds from the masterclass will go towards the charity’s work with young people right across the country.
Ben Campion of upmysport said: “Having top level athletes running a high quality session at the home of the 2012 Games demonstrates that the spirit of the games is well and truly alive and kicking in Stratford.
“As this is one of the first public activities combining Obstacle Course Racing and British Athletes it seemed appropriate to host it at the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.”
