Young man arrested after 16-year-old boy stabbed in East Ham

A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital following a reported stabbing on Barking Road at the junction of Wellington Road.

A young man was arrested at the scene and was taken to an east London police station where he remains in custody.

Police and ambulances were called to the scene at 4.40pm yesterday.

The boy’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
