Police are investigating after the body of young man was found in the street in Custom House last night.
Officers were called to Gill Avenue where they found the young man, understood to be 18, at around 6.15pm.
He was suffering serious injuries and despite the efforts of police officers and ambulance officers, he died from his injuries at the scene at 6.50pm. It is understood he had been attacked. A Scotland Yard spokesman said there had been no arrests at this early stage and inquiries are continuing into the yong man’s death.
The Recorder understands the victim received throat injuries.
