A woman has suffered a broken nose after being brutally attacked in broad daylight.

Police are appealing for information about the assault which took place at 1:54pm on May 21 (Wednesday).

The woman, aged 36, was walking along Balaam Street when she was approached and repeatedly punched in the face.

As she fell to the floor her attacker proceeded to kick her in the face before running off along the Greenway.

The suspect is described as a 5’8” tall black man of medium build and short dark hair.

At the time of the attack he was wearing a dark blue coat or hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and carrying a drawstring bag.
