A man is being treated for gunshot wounds to the buttocks after a shooting in Beckton this afternoon, it is comfirmed.
London’s Air Ambulace helicopter was scrambled following reports that a man had been shot at Woolwich Manor Way, just before 2.40pm.
A London Ambulance spokeman said medics rushed to the scene and treated a male victim. He was taken by road to hospital and was accompanied a doctor. The air ambulance was stood by.
Police later said a man in his 20s was suffering from “non life threatening, non life changing” gunshot wounds to the buttocks.
A group of youths, described as black, were seen running away from the scene towards the East Ham Manor Way area.
