Two Newham teenagers charged in connection with homophobic assault on the tube

Two teenagers from Newham have been charged in connection with a hate crime following a homophobic incident on the tube.
The boys, aged 16 and 17, subjected a man to homophobic abuse on the Jubilee line at North Greenwich station at 11pm on Saturday, October 21.
The 17-year-old has been charged with a public order offence and the 16-year-old has been charged with assault by beating.
Both boys will appear before Bexley Magistrates’ Court on May 11.
