An early morning Stratford resident was robbed at knife-point minutes after leaving the rail station.
It was Friday July 13 between 2-3am as the 35-year-old victim reached Hughan Road when he was assailed from behind by two men.
Intimidatingly, they stood either side of him and demanded his bag. Realising that one of the men was holding what he believed to be a knife, the victim handed over his bag before both suspects fled towards Stratford train station.
Crime prevention Officer Andy Whitfield says: When walking along the street try to look and act confident - look like you know where you are going and walk tall; You will be safest in bright, well-lit and busy areas; Be discreet when using mobile phones and put them away as soon as you have finished using them. Consider carrying a personal attack alarm; consider carrying a torch at night.
