A dealer who was found with three different types of drugs and a knife on him when pulled over by police has been jailed.

Ipswich Crown Court heard how Tuan Le, of Homerton Road, Stratford, was stopped while driving his car in Colchester on Tuesday, May 2.

He was found to have 42 wraps of heroin and 24 wraps of cocaine, along with a lock knife, in his jeans.

A four-figure sum of cash and 2.25 grams of cannabis were also found in his car, which has been forfeited to police.

Le, 27, was sentenced to a total three years and eight months behind bars last week after admitting possession of heroin and cocaine with intent to supply, possession of cannabis and possession of a knife.

Pc Joseph Daunt said: “This sentence sends out a strong message that we will not tolerate drug dealing in our communities. Le can now face the consequences of his actions locked in a prison cell.”
