Rapist who videoed victim in her Straford home is sent to Broadmoor
An IT businessman who raped a drama student at knifepoint in her own home has been sent to Broadmoor indefinitely.
Richard Holmes, 40, was tracked down through his DNA and a sick video he made of the attack which police found on his iPhone.
The order made on Friday at Snaresbrook Crown court follows his conviction in December for rape, assault by penetration, trespass with intent to commit a sexual offence and forcing his victim to engage in sexual activity.
It also included ABH against a second woman who came forward during police investigations.
Holmes had forced his way through the front-door of a house in Stratford in July, 2012, as the student was leaving to return to rehearsals.

DC Bobby McIlwaine said this week: “Holmes attacked her in the safety of her home and subjected her to a brutal and terrifying ordeal. His conviction for his violent abuse towards women is linked to the courage of both victims giving evidence.”
