Music fan Ada Arugu played his rap and dance-style music so loud the floor of the next home vibrated.

But the man who made life hell for his neighbour was silenced when council watchdogs finally seized his powerful sound system.

A court has now ordered its confescation.

And Stratford magistrates fined Arugu, 38, a total of 1.500 after they convicted him of three counts of failing to comply with a noise abatement notice from 2010.

Arugu, of Hermit Road, Plaistow, will also have to pay the un-named neighbour 1,000 in compensation, 1,000 to Newham Council for its costs and 15 victim’s surcharge.

He’s also lost his two large and expensive RCF Art speakers, a mixing desk, DVD player, and CD player.

Newham’s noise officers received a total of 45 complaints about Arugu,

Cllr Unmesh Desai, Executive Member for Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour, described the resident’s behaviour as an “absolute disgrace.”

“This man made his neighbour’s life hell.”
