Police appeal for witnesses to Limehouse collision
Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident which resulted in a woman being trapped in her car.
Officers were called at just before 3am on August 14 to Salmon Lane at the junction with White Horse Road, Limehouse to reports of an accident between two vehicles.
One vehicle was forced off the road and hit a nearby gate. Paramedics and firemen who attended the scene discovered a 39-year-old woman trapped in her car.
She was cut out of her car and taken to a London hospital where her condition was described as not life threatening.
She has since been discharged from hospital after suffering whiplash and an injury to the ankle.

The driver and possible passenger from a second car left the scene after seeing police. The driver is described as a slim Asian man wearing a white t-shirt and dark trousers.
Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call DC Graeme Helle from Tower Hamlet Police who is investigating the incident on 0207 275 4546

A 29-year-old woman, arrested in relation to incident, has been bailed to return on September 23 pending further enquires.
