A police officer who forged his wife’s signature on an application for a £10,000 loan has been sacked.
Pc Osaigbovo Obasuyi, who is attached to Newham’s police force, faced allegations that his conduct amounted to a breach of standards of professional behaviour in respect of honesty and integrity and discreditable conduct.
A misconduct hearing heard how on August 10, 2015, Pc Obasuyi applied for a joint loan of £10,000 from a finance company.
He completed the documents, falsely signing his wife’s name without her knowledge or required approval.
The chair of the hearing found the case of gross misconduct to be proven, and Pc Obasuyi was dismissed without notice.
