A 27-year-old Newham man was charged in connection with terrorism offences yesterday evening.
Ahmed Hussain has been arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of a terrorist act and charged with one count of encouragement of terrorism and two counts of possession of a document containing information useful for terrorist purposes.
Mr Hussain has been taken into police custody and will appear before Westminster magistrates’ Court at 10am today.
As part of the same investigation a 24-year-old woman was arrested at an address in north London on suspicion of having information about acts of terrorism. She has released on police bail pending further investigation until early May.
