Newham dawn raids target suspected county lines drug dealers

Seven people suspected of being involved in county lines drug dealing have been arrested after a series of dawn raids.

Warrants were carried out at five properties in Newham - Fendt Close and Bering Walk in Canning Town, Firefly Gardens and Truesdale Road in Beckton and Daines Close in Manor Park.

As part of the same operation, one raid was carried out in Carew Road, Tottenham Hale, and two more in Ipswich.

Five men and two women, all aged between 19 and 39, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply drugs.

Officers also seized items including a stolen moped, a ten-inch hunting knife, cannabis and a mobile phone believed to be used for running the county line.
