Police preparing to revisit the scene of a fatal stabbing in West Ham today confirmed the victim was 20-year-old Taofeek Lamidi.
The former Eastlea Community School pupil suffered fatal stab wounds in Memorial Avenue two days before his 21st birthday, in one of four fatal unrelated attacks across London over the New Year.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 8.22pm despite police and paramedics’ efforts to resuscitate him.
A post-mortem exam held on Tuesday found he died from a stab wound to the heart.
Though formal identification awaits, Taofeek’s next of kin have been informed.
