Minicab murder: Trial to start over Stratford controller’s death

The trial of two people accused of murdering a minicab controller in Stratford is due to begin today.
Nargis Riaz, 21, of Fanshawe Avenue, Barking, and Gulam Chowdhury, 24, of Heenan Close, Barking are set to appear at the Old Bailey.
They are charged with the murder of Mohammed Yasser Afzal last March.
Mr Afzal, of Forest Gate, worked in the E20 Cars control office in the Broadway.
The 22-year-old died in hospital after being stabbed in the neck.
