A police constable was today charged with engaging in sexual communication with a child and stalking involving serious alarm or distress while on duty in Newham.
Pc David Olley, 30, currently seconded to the Met’s East Area Command Unit, allegedly committed the offences while serving in the borough between September 2015 and September this year.
The officer, who has been suspended, is appearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.
The Met has referred the matter to the Independent Office of Police Conduct.
