An 18-year-old from Manor Park has been charged today with preparing to commit acts of terrorism.
Kazi Jawad Islam, of Meanley Road, has been remanded in custody overnight and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
Islam was initially arrested on August 13 but has not been charged until now.
