A Manor Park man is due to appear in court charged with “coercive and controlling behaviour”.
Earl Valton, of Hathaway Crescent, Manor Park, is scheduled to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 27.
The 36-year-old is also charged with two counts of actual bodily harm, criminal damage and making threats.
The charge follows reports made to domestic abuse officers on Friday in Grays, Essex.
