A man has been charged with the murder of his mother in Stratford
Mark Hayes, 38, of Idmiston Road, has been charged with the murder of his mother Phyllis Hayes at their home address.
The Stratford man has also been charged with attempted arson with intent to endanger life at the Idmiston Road address and has also been charged with the attempted murder of a man in Tilbury, Essex on Friday.
Mr Hayes is set to appear in custody at Basildon Magistrates’ Court today.
