A 35-year-old man has been charged in connection with an “axe and knife” incident.

Mical Tadesse, of Silverland Street, Royal Docks, was charged on Saturday with threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in Stratford on May 31. His next court date is yet to be announced.

During the incident, which lasted only a few minutes, two men were alleged to have jumped out of their vehicles waving a knife and axe at one another.

West Road resident Mitchell Gunn, a professional photographer, caught on camera the two men allegedly brandishing weapons.

Officers are still looking for the other man identified in the photo.
