A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault on a young woman.
The incident occurred on Warmington Street, Plaistow, between the hours of 2am and 4am on Saturday.
A woman in her 20s was taken to Newham General Hospital and later released.
The man remains in custody at an east London police station.
