A man has been arrested at London City Airport on suspicion of preparation of acts to commit terrorism.
Officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command stopped the 49-year-old under schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000 yesterday and he was subsequently arrested.
The man was taken to a south London police station, and has since been released on bail to return on a date in late July.
Officers also carried out a search at an address in Essex, which is now complete. Enquiries continue.
