A Jury has retired to consider a verdict in a trial of a man accused of murdering a mourner at a family funeral in Manor Park.
John Nicholles, 54, of Binfield Road, Clapham, has been on trial at Southwark Crown Court since last week accused of murdering Peter Charles John, 55, of East Acton.
Mr John was attending the funeral of his wife’s stepfather at the City of London cemetery, Manor Park, on July 23 last year when he was killed.
The body of Mr John was found by a grounds maintenance worker and he was pronounced dead after being airlifted to the Royal London Hospital.
