A woman has been jailed for 32 months for perverting the course of justice in connection with the murder investigation in to the death of Nico Ramsay in Southend, Essex.

Elisha Francois, 25, from Southend, appeared at Basildon Crown Court on Friday having previously admitted the charge.

She was told she will serve a minimum of 16 months.

Nico Ramsay, 19, of Eastern Road, Plaistow, died in February after receiving a fatal stab wound to the chest.

He was found in Napier Avenue, Southend, on Saturday, February 13 and was taken to hospital but died four days later from his injuries.
