Eleven charged with drugs offences following Stratford gang raid

Eleven young men have been charged with drugs offences following a dawn raid on alleged gang-members in Stratford last week.
Fourteen suspects were arrested in total on Thursday morning as part of Operation Nibento, a partnership between Newham police’s Gangs Unit, the Met’s Trident Central Gangs Unit, and the Territorial Support Group.
Seven have been bailed, two remanded in custody, and three released with a police caution.
Kwaewo Okofo-Boampong, 23, of Caistor Park Road, Stratford was charged for one count of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and was remanded in custody to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on July 24.
Abdi Jamal, 18, of Simons Walk, Stratford, was charged with one count of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and he was remanded in custody after pleading guilty at Thames Magistrates Court. He is due to be sentenced on June 7.
Dejan Redhead, 24, of Ashlin Road, Stratford, was charged with four counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and he was remanded in custody to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on May 24.
Freddie Cooper, 18, of Ashlin Road, Stratford, was charged with one count of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and he was bailed to return to Thames Magistrates Court on August 8.

Shane Barrow, 18, of Ash Road, Stratford, was charged with three counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and he was bailed to return to Thames Magistrates Court on August 8.
Joseph Mercado, 21, of Buxton Road, Stratford, was charged with two counts of conspriacy to supply Class A drugs and he was bailed to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on August 8.
Danny Chapman, 27, of Gawsworth Close, Stratford was charged with possession of Class B drugs and he was bailed with conditions to return to Thames Magistrates Court August 8.
Two 17-year-olds were charged with one count of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. Both pleaded guilty with one being remanded in custody to be sentenced at Thames Magistrates Court on June 7 and another bailed to be sentenced at Thames Magistrates Court on June 10.
Two 16-year-olds were charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs and they were both bailed to to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on August 8 and June 3.
Three other men, aged 16, 32, and 28, were arrested for various drug offences but were released with a caution with no further action.
