A man who threatened shop staff during a string of thefts has been jailed for 40 weeks.
Anthony Alfonso Wilson, 36, of Central Park Road, East Ham, was convicted at East London Magistrates’ Court on Friday of two public order offences and eight counts of theft at stores in High Street North over seven months.
On two occasions he threatened security guards after he was approached by them.
Wilson was arrested by officers in Newham on February 10.
He sentenced to a total of 40 weeks imprisonment and ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge.
