A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 57-year-old man in East Ham over the weekend.

Emergency services were called to reports of a of a seriously injured man in Compton Avenue, at about 7.20pm on Saturday evening.

The victim, who has been identified as Grzegorz Raczek, died at the scene.

Bartosz Rejmanski, 26, of Compton Avenue, has been charged with murder and is due to appear at Thames Magistrates Court today.
