An East Ham man denied stabbing his cousin to death and was remanded in custody when he appeared at the Old Bailey.
Anthony Townsend, 31, of Wellstead Road, is accused of the murder of Winston Brown, 33, in Walthamstow, on April 1.
He appeared before Judge Martin Stephens QC via videolink from Belmarsh prison and spoke only to confirm his name and plea of not guilty.
His trial was set for November 7. Townsend remains in custody.
