Dramatic CCTV footage released after teenager stabbed in Upton Park

This dramatic CCTV footage has been released by police investigating a stabbing in Green Street, Upton Park.
The incident happened at around 4pm on Monday, May 8, when a 17-year-old boy was attacked he walked along the road.
Footage shows a man with what appears to be a blade in his hand crossing the road before rushing at his teenage victim, who suffered a punctured lung and remained in hospital for several days before being discharged.
The motive for the attack is unknown as nothing was stolen.
Anyone who recognises the person shown in the CCTV should call officers at Newham CID via 101.
