Police and ambulance crews were called to a sixth form college in Stratford after receiving reports that a teenager had been stabbed.
They were called to the recently opened London Academy of Excellence in the High Street at around 10.50am.
A spokesman for the police said a teenage boy had sustained head injuries which were not thought to be life threatening.
It is believed the boy was stabbed at Stratford Station but managed to struggle to the college where he raised the alarm.
