Armed robbery in East Ham

A male suspect smashed a window and used a hammer to threaten staff during an armed robbery in East Ham yesterday afternoon.
Officers were called to The Money Shop in High Street North at about 4.30pm where the owner explained that a man had smashed the shop window before making off with a number of items.
The single suspect is described as a white male with blond hair, said to be tall and thin build and wearing black hood, black sunglasses and black rucksack.
There are no reported injuries and no arrests have been made.
Police in Newham continue to deal in close partnership with detectives from the Met’s Flying Squad.
