A RAPIST was jailed for nine years today after a jury found him guilty of a street attack.
Metin Sanci, 34, of Manor Road, West Ham, was convicted of the charge by a jury at Blackfriars Crown Court.
They had heard how he punched her and put his hands around his victim’s throat. She fought back, biting, punching and scratching, but he managed to rape her before making off.
She needed hospital treatment for cuts and bruises.
Sanci was arrested just 50 metres away after police were alerted of the attack on July 24 last in Hanley Street Crouch Hill, North London at about 5.20am. A person nearby had her screams.
