Burglars made off with £9,000 worth of computing equipment after they broke into a primary school in Plaistow on Sunday.
The break-in was discovered the next day by a 43-year-old maintenance worker at Tollgate Primary School, Barclay Road, who found an external door and a window in a disabled toilet next to it had been forced open while he was opening up.
The burglary is thought to have taken place between 5pm and 7pm and 15 Rm Mobileone laptops estimated to be worth £9,000 were stolen.
Police believe the intruder/s made their way out of the building, across to the playground, and forced the lock on a gated entrance that leads out to the school playing fields and running tracks.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about this incident to contact the Newham Burglary Squad on 101 or to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting reference 5303977/13
