Detectives have arrested a woman in connection with a cashpoint mugging in Maryland.

The victim, in her 40s, was punched, slapped and robbed in the attack in Leytonstone Road at about 3.10pm on Wednesday, November 28.

A 28-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday evening and taken into custody at an east London police station, according to Met Police.

Last week officers released CCTV footage of the incident in an appeal.

Enquiries continue.
