A man suffered head injuries this morning after he was attacked in Manor Park.

The incident in Romford Road took place shortly after 5am, a police spokesman said.

The 35-year-old victim was taken by ambulance to Newham General Hospital, where his condition was described as not life-threatening or life-changing.

He was later discharged.
