A man arrested in east London on suspicion of terrorism offences has been released.

The 26-year-old was held on Wednesday by counter terror officers on suspicion of being involved in the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism.

He was taken into custody at a south London police station following the pre-planned operation.

No further action will be taken against him.
